Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Guidelines for Authors

  • Submission Requirements
    • Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Geological Processes, Risks, and Integrated Spatial Modeling must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
    • Authors must adhere to ethical guidelines and ensure all sources are properly cited.
    • Submit manuscripts electronically via the journal's submission system.
  • Formatting Guidelines
    • Use Microsoft Word or LaTeX for manuscript preparation.
    • Include a title page with author(s) names, affiliations, email addresses, and corresponding author details.
  • Structure of the Manuscript
    • Title: Concise and informative.
    • Abstract: Provide a structured abstract of 200-250 words, summarizing the study's objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
    • Keywords: 3-5 keywords highlighting the main topics of the manuscript.
    • Introduction: Clearly state the research problem, objectives, and significance.
    • Methods: Describe the methodology and techniques used in the study.
    • Results: Present findings clearly and include tables, figures, and graphs as needed.
    • Discussion: Interpret results and discuss their implications.
    • Conclusion: Summarize the main findings and their significance.
  • Bibliography Standards
    • Follow APA (American Psychological Association) 7th edition guidelines for referencing.
    • Include DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for all cited articles where available.
  • Submission Checklist
    • Ensure all sections of the manuscript are included and correctly formatted.
    • Verify all citations and references for accuracy and consistency.
    • Obtain necessary permissions for copyrighted material used in the manuscript.
